Hello everyone!

2021 has been an interesting year with a lot for carers to cope with. We are heading into Mental Health Month and we hope that you can find something to fill your cup. We have been busy raising the voice of carers in as many areas as we can including the Canberra Hospital, Office of Chief Psychiatrist, ACT Health and providing feedback on the proposed NDIS legislation (find out more on the DSS Engage website).

There are several consultations going on at the moment that you may be interested including the Model of Care for the Head to Health Centre and the Canberra Health Services Disability Access and Inclusion Plan. Public consultation opportunities will get shared on the Consultations page of our website and we share further opportunities with carers who have nominated to join our consultation list. You can sign up for that list by clicking “I’m a carer interested in consultations” in the sign up form on our website.
