Mental Health Carers Voice October 2021 Update

You can read the latest issue of Mental Health Carers Voice’s newsletter here.

Hello everyone!

October has been a huge month for MHCV. We’ve had Mental Health Month, National Carers Week and the ACT Budget all at once. We’ve also been providing a mental health carer perspective to the police guide for working with people with disabilities and attending consultations on the Adolescent Ward Model of Care.

If you missed the fanfare around National Carers Week, we suggest you check out the resources produced on their Caring for Carers page, including a new factsheet on social prescribing for GPs, the Young Carers Toolkit for Schools and resources for workplaces.

We are also pleased to announce the new date for Caring Together, our conference, which will be held on Friday February 18th 2022. More details to come.

We have been making some small updates to the Carer Navigator, so check it out and provide your feedback and suggestions through the form on the homepage.

All the best,
C Moore and Catherine Vonarx
The Mental Health Carers Voice Team
