This report provides an analysis of the responses to the ACT Mental Health Carer Survey of 2021, capturing data across themes such as access to services, feelings of discrimination and safety, and positive and negative experiences with individual services and the ACT mental health system as whole. The findings of the survey will be used to benchmark the impact of system change on carers over the years, while also highlighting carer experiences in future policy and advocacy work.
MHCV has formulated this position paper to assist service delivery partners in the ACT with carer engagement in care planning. The position paper includes discussion on recovery-oriented practise, the Triangle of Care model, and the intersectionality of carer inclusion and confidentiality.
