MHCV Team Update

Mental Health Month is here again! While shining a light on this shared experience of many in our community, we hope carers will be encouraged to take time to reflect and recharge.

It’s been a busy few months for the MHCV Team. We’ve attended the TheMHS Conference in Brisbane, put the final touches on our survey of mental health carers, and continued our ongoing work to improve the recognition of carers within mental health systems.

The MHCV team have welcomed our newest team member Em, who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, particularly in frontline service knowledge, community engagement and service planning.

As you will read later in the newsletter, we are delighted to open our latest Mental Health Carers Survey. This year we have modernised and have a QR code that connects you directly to the survey. Please share it with friends and family who are caring for someone with mental health challenges. We are very keen to understand the breadth of everyone’s experiences so we can improve the systems and services that you deal with.

As always, your voice is vital to the work we do and if you have anything you wish to share, please feel free to contact us via email mhcarers@carersact.org.au
