Hi valued carers,
MHCV had the privilege to attend the National Suicide Prevention Conference this month. The Conference was a great opportunity for us to learn from global experts in the field and network with other suicide prevention advocates. We are excited to bring back the knowledge and insights we gained to further our work in the ACT.
Looking ahead, we want to highlight that the Health Directorate is hosting a carer and consumer consultation workshop for the Design Phase of mental health service commissioning early next month. We believe that this is an important opportunity for interested carers to help shape the future of mental health services in the ACT. You can read more about this exciting consultation opportunity below.
As always, our voice is vital to the work we do and if you have anything you wish to share please feel free to contact us via email mhcarers@carersact.org.au.
All the best,
Catherine Joseph and Catherine Vonarx,
The Mental Health Carers Voice Team
